TT (Denny) Yang
PhD Student
I am a final-year PhD student in the Balmus Lab, specialising in cell and molecular biology. I completed my BSc with honours, studying the molecular basis of arrhythmia in mice, followed by an MPhil investigating nuclear envelope defects in ageing biology.
My current research focuses on Huntington’s disease, particularly MSH3 biology, where I am developing tractable tools to study the kinetics of CAG repeat expansion and the cis effects of CAG length on disease pathogenesis. My work is funded by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan and the Cambridge Trust.
