Dragos Leordean
I hold a B.Sc. (Hons) in Genetics from the University of Manchester and a DPhil in Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics from Oxford University. During my undergraduate studies, I worked on mouse left-right and heart development in Dr. Dominic Norris’ lab at MRC Harwell and Dr. Kathryn Hentges’ lab at Manchester. I continued studying mouse left-right development in the Norris lab for my DPhil. After completing my doctorate, I moved to Romania to work as a curation scientist at Qiagen. I am now a bioinformatics post-doc in the Balmuș lab, focusing on annotating the naked mole-rat T2T genome and analyzing short tandem repeats in the human genome.
