Kangning He

She is an MPhil student/ Research Assistant in Balmus Lab, specializing in DNA damage and repair mechanisms in Huntington’s disease. She holds a B.S. in Integrative Biomedical Sciences from both the University of Edinburgh and Zhejiang University. After completing her MPhil in Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge, I transitioned to a Research Assistant position at Balmus Lab. Her research experience spans Huntington’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and atherosclerosis, utilizing animal models, molecular biology techniques, CRISPR gene editing, and cell-based assays. Her work focuses on uncovering novel therapeutic targets in neurodegenerative diseases through advanced molecular and cellular techniques.
