Dr Kyra Ungerleider

Dr Kyra Ungerleider did her BSc in Neuroscience at The Ohio State University where she studied traumatic brain injuries and circadian rhythms with Dr. Randy Nelson and Dr. Zachary Weil. She then went on to the National Institutes of Health where she was a Cancer Research Training Award Fellow in the lab of Dr. Curt Harris and studied p53 in brain ageing and neurodegeneration for three years. For her PhD, she studied DNA repair in Huntington’s disease and aging in the long-lived naked mole rat brain at the University of Cambridge in Dr. Balmus’ lab.
